Meet Sherman! Sherman arrived in Virginia on March 29 alongside his companion Rufus, after being rescued from a neglectful situation in Puerto Rico. The two had lived with a woman who was later placed into a nursing home, and unfortunately, they had very little human interaction during that time. Since arriving, Sherman has been making slow and steady progress as he learns to trust people. He’s still a bit shy but is showing more interest in bonding with humans each day. Sherman is wonderful with other dogs and especially enjoys lounging on the couch with his furry friends. Sherman would thrive in a patient and loving home where he can continue to come out of his shell at his own pace. Interested in fostering or adopting Sherman?
