Meet Bixby! 

This sweet, social pup is looking for a loving forever home! Bixby is a 10-month-old, 25 lb snuggly pup.  He is fully vetted, neutered, and on heartworm prevention. He was originally fostered by our partner middle school students in Puerto Rico before coming to VB last summer.  Though he may sound the alarm and bark at people at first, he’s well-socialized and adores people and other pets.

Through no fault of his own, Bixby is looking for a new family to love. He currently lives with a smaller dog and a cat, and while he gets along great with both, he will happily chase a cat if it runs—just to try to play.

Bixby is affectionate, friendly, and full of energy. As a young pup, he’s still busy and playful but is crate trained and accustomed to a working household. However, he would love more time out of his crate for play, exercise, and enrichment. He’ll thrive in an active home that can provide him with the love, structure, and activity he needs!  His sibling had a DNA test done.  Turns out he is 25% chihuahua, 25% German Shepherd, and 50% 15 additional breeds.  If you would like to meet this unique good boy put in an application.
